The Experience
Built for Your School
This trip was built for Saint Margaret Mary. From our first conversations with your teachers, we designed an experience that connects directly to your students' curriculum, organized around three pillars that define the journey: American History & Government, STEM & Science, and Catholic Religious & Cultural Heritage. Every site, every experience, every day connects back to what your students are learning.
American History & Government
Students will walk the halls of the U.S. Capitol, stand before the Declaration of Independence and Constitution at the National Archives, and honor the fallen at Arlington National Cemetery. They'll trace the footsteps of presidents from the White House to George Washington's Mount Vernon, explore the National Mall monuments — Washington, Lincoln, and Martin Luther King Jr. — and visit Ford's Theatre. At the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and the National Museum of African American History and Culture, students will confront the stories that shaped America's conscience.
STEM & Science
A full day inside the Smithsonian, the world's largest museum complex. Students will explore the history of flight and space exploration at the National Air and Space Museum, get hands-on in the Q?rius science lab at the National Museum of Natural History, and discover American innovation at the Museum of American History. These are interactive, student-driven learning experiences designed to bring STEM concepts to life.
Religious & Cultural Heritage
As a Catholic school community, this pillar is uniquely meaningful. Students will visit the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the largest Catholic church in North America, and the Saint John Paul II National Shrine. They'll share a meal on the campus of Catholic University of America, connecting their faith to the broader story of Catholic life in the United States.
